Android Holds High-quality 3D Apps

Good news for android developers that Google has increased the maximum app size limit from 50 MB to 4 GB (Huge update regarding app size). Google has explained in Android Developer Blog that android app's size will still limited to 50MB and it is to secure the on device storage, but developers will be allowed to add or develop 2 complimentary expansion files up to 2 GB each. Total size of the app will be displayed to users in Android Market and expansion files will be allowed to download automatically on newer devices but on older devices, expansion files will be downloaded when the app runs first time. It will great addition by Android because it will avoid the users to download the updates from non Android Market sites, which are more then 50MB in size. This will provide Google a great control over privacy and quality of content.

Now developers are able to develop high quality 3D games or apps which require more space. With the increased size of app, now developers are expecting more advanced devices in terms of process power, memory and graphics quality, that's why we can see a number of quad-core devices are being announced, capable of handling console-quality gaming.
